4th of July Events in Philly This Weekend

     

When the Fourth of July comes around, people all across America feast their eyes on the skies. There’s no better way to celebrate Independence Day than by taking in live music, visiting a local museum and of course, watching fireworks. Philadelphia Orchestra Concert & Fireworks

Taking place on the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing, the Philadelphia Orchestra will be putting on a free performance by acclaimed musicians. After that, there will be a spectacular fireworks display which is also free for all in attendance.

$1 Admission Powel House

Always wanted to take a tour of the gorgeous Powel House? Now’s your chance. For just $1, you can enter and take a tour of the home of Elizabeth and Samuel Powel, an 18th-century power couple. They entertained in style and their mansion surely shows it.

Philadelphia Night Market

No plans on Saturday night? Head over to Spruce Hill in West Philadelphia for a special Independence Day edition of the Night Market. Come hungry and feast on the delicious dishes from a plethora of food trucks and top it all off with ice cream or local beer and spirits.

Rocky At The Steps

Let’s face it, there isn’t a better place to watch Rocky than on the very steps where the film was shot. Head over to the Philadelphia Museum of Arts on Sunday, July 2nd for a free outdoor screening.
