Getting Squirrely - Part 1

By Walter Morgynski | Feb 27, 2017 10:35:00 AM

GEN3’s technicians have removed their fair share of dead squirrels from customers walls after the little critters chewed through a wire, but now we’re chasing a live one through our own office.

As you could probably guess from Oggi and our Office Cats Marty and Remmy, we’re all animal lovers so don’t want any harm to come to our unwelcomed guest. However, he needs to go. It started out this fall with the squirrel sneaking into the garage to rummage through our dumpster looking for food, then fleeing outside at the site of anyone. Well, the months wore on and the weather got colder. Our squirrel changed tactics and would run away deeper into the garage rather than out of it. Soon enough it decided to take up permanent residence. Who could blame it, we do have a pretty nice office.

The problem is, as cute as squirrels are outside, they can wreak havoc on your home so we need to evict the little guy before he causes too much damage. The last thing a bunch of electricians need is a squirrel chewing up our own office's wiring!

The downside is most of us rely on raised electrical lines run on poles, which can at times take severe damage from storms like these.

Dusk comes early this time of year, before many of us leave our jobs. It can make it feel like the whole day got away from you while at the office. SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) has an arguably silly acronym some marketing department must be rather proud of, but it’s no joke.
